Student Life

Learning at Hope Academy GSO is interactive, impactful, and fun! Whether building leadership skills on a sports team or exploring nature in an outdoor classroom, our students learn that God has good plans for their lives (Jeremiah 29:11) and those plans are filled with hope.

Athletics

Our middle school athletics program gives students the opportunity to grow as leaders, teammates, and competitors both on and off the field. Our co-ed learning league provides a safe and supportive way for students to experience and try a variety of sports. Our sports are all beginner leagues and there are no tryouts to participate.

Each program runs for two-months of the school year, so students can participate in multiple sports throughout the year. Hope Academy GSO is a proud member of the Independent School League (ISL), which focuses on co-ed sports for 5th-8th graders. Participation in athletics has no extra cost.

After-School Program

Hope Academy offers an after-school program called The NEST for K-5th grade. We partner with local community organizations for play-based activities, arts and crafts, and special interest clubs like dance and science.

Students enrolled in The Nest are released to the care of Hope Academy staff for a smooth and safe transition. The program is held onsite from 3:10–6:00 PM. There is no additional cost for this program.

High School Readiness Program

We want all our students to be equipped for the next step in their academic journey. Our High School Readiness Program helps 8th graders prepare for high school by making sure they know what to expect and how to create healthy relationships in a new environment.

Summer Bridge

Our Summer Bridge program is available to select Hope Academy students, starting with those who will be going into 1st grade in the fall through graduating 8th graders who are headed into high school. Students receive individualized reading and math support within integrated classes taught by Hope Academy teachers. On average, summer bridge participants demonstrate higher standardized test growth percentiles than their peers nationwide. The afternoons are for fun, including crafts, movies, and exciting field trips.
